The Sketch-O-Matic booth gets another airing this Friday, this time at HOME. Once again, I’ll be one of the 55 artists frantically scribbling (and sweating) away in the dark, to draw portraits of the public in around 5 minutes. The event is on for 10 days, with a constantly changing rota of artists. Come and get an original piece of artwork for a bargain price!

I have two 2 hour slots this year.
Fri 4 Dec / 18.00 – 20.00
Thu 10 Dec / 17.00 – 19.00

Once you’ve been portraitized, do feel free to share a pic of your pic on Twitter or Instagram tagging them #SketchOMatic. Or post them on the SketchOMatic Facebook page.

New Balance London Marathon Expo

I spent four days last week at the London Marathon Expo, drawing on mirrors on the New Balance stand.

Masterminded by the dudes at Creative Spark, the idea was to get expo-goers to interact with the illustrations, taking photos to post to Twitter/Instagram, using the #UseYourRun hashtag, while upstairs people were encouraged to run a lap of the New Balance track. For each lap run, New Balance would donate £2 to Good Gym. Nice!

Koffee Pot

Koffee Pot 2015

So Northern Quarter breakfast kings and bona fide Manchester institution Koffee Pot are finally ready to open this Saturday lunchtime, after their move to from Stevenson Square to Oldham Street. The new premises look rather swish, while retaining some of the original features salvaged from the old place. They got me in to paint an updated version of their original mural, which I painted back in 2006 (some of which has been rescued, framed and hung up in the new place). My style has progressed a little in 9 years, but I tried to keep the spirit of the original (below).
