The Gallery Bar

The-Gallery

I painted this quick mural yesterday in The Gallery Bar, Chorlton, based on a canvas I painted a few years ago. It was quite nice to get lost drawing rubble again. It’s been a while.

Alexander and The Cat

I’ve been having fun drawing these two recently.

Alexander is lost somewhere in the Adirondacks after absconding from Summer Camp. He has stumbled across The Cat, who is also lost after her owners moved house.

I think they are becoming besties. Despite the human/cat language barrier.

The Crimson Retribution

Crimson

This is my brooding superhero illustration for the poster of the upcoming play The Crimson Retribution which will be showing as part of Manchester’s 24:7 Theatre Festival. Something a little darker than I usually post up here, which makes a nice change.

The Crimson Retribution is a play about a failing relationship and a superhero sleeping on the sofa, written by MEN Theatre Award nominated playwright Steve Pearce.

Martin and Simon Paper Toy

Martin-and-Simon

A few months ago I did a character design and mural painting workshop at a local school. One of the pupils, Andy Barker,  brought in an ace model of a robot he’d made of one of my illustrations. He asked if he could make a template to make my cheese and grater into a downloadable and buildable paper toy. This is the result. You can download yourself one HERE
